ACP Krishna is a formidable cop who cannot bear to see anyone suffer, a weakness his colleagues and even criminals take advantage of. When he meets Sailaja, a young woman burdened with debts and her family's problems, he falls for her and quietly sets out to help, only to find that her missing father is wanted by a dangerous gang and that solving her troubles may mean breaking a few of his own rules. Babu Bangaram is a breezy action comedy from Maruthi that leans on Venkatesh's easy-going comic charm, with Nayanthara as his co-star; the two had earlier paired in Lakshmi and Tulasi. Comedians Brahmanandam and Prudhvi Raj provide many of the laughs, and Ghibran composed the songs.
