Veera is an easy-going village man with firm ideas about marriage: his wife must have long hair, little schooling and no opinions to challenge him. Keerthi is a spirited wrestler from Palakkad whose sporting career has made finding a husband almost impossible. Her family arranges the match by hiding her past, and for a while the marriage holds, until the truth comes out in the most public way possible and Veera's pride is badly bruised. Gatta Kusthi is a cheerful comedy that pokes fun at male ego and old-fashioned notions of what a wife should be, carried by Aishwarya Lekshmi's lively turn. It was co-produced by Vishnu Vishal and Telugu star Ravi Teja and released in Telugu as Matti Kusthi.
