Gautham is an investigative journalist who stays one night in room 118 of a seaside resort and dreams of a young woman being brutally attacked. He brushes it off until the same dream returns, in exactly the same detail, the next time he sleeps in the room. Convinced that the dream is pointing to a real crime, he begins tracing the woman, even though no one has reported her missing, and the trail leads him to a hidden conspiracy and dangerous people. The film is a tightly plotted mystery thriller that plays with dreams, memory and lucid dreaming. It marked the directorial debut of K. V. Guhan, a well-known cinematographer who also shot the film, and was a success for Kalyan Ram.
