Pyar Ka Saaya (1991)

A young couple are deeply in love and about to begin a life together when the man is murdered. Unable to move on, his spirit remains at his beloved's side, invisible to her, and he discovers that his death was not a random crime and that she too is now in danger. To warn and save her he needs the help of a living person who can sense him. Pyar Ka Saaya ("the shadow of love") was made in the wake of Rahul Roy's huge success in Aashiqui and borrows its premise from the Hollywood hit Ghost (1990), with Amrita Singh in the role of the medium. Like most Rahul Roy films of the time it leaned heavily on its romantic songs by Nadeem-Shravan.
