Seetharama and his younger brother Raju are inseparable, and their household lives by loyalty and honour. A long-running enmity with another powerful family hangs over the village, and when Raju falls in love, the old hostility returns with new force. The brothers must decide what matters more, pride or the people they love, while their rivals look for any crack to exploit. Seetharama Raju is a family drama in the classic Telugu mould, with festival scenes, emotional confrontations and village fights. It is remembered for pairing Nagarjuna with Nandamuri Harikrishna, son of N. T. Rama Rao, in one of his notable screen roles, and for M. M. Keeravani's songs.
