Le Panga! Badlapur Boys (2014)

In the village of Badlapur, a man's desperate protest over the village's water problem ends in tragedy and is quickly forgotten by the authorities. Years later his son Vijay, carrying the stigma of his father's death, joins a ragtag group of village boys who play kabaddi with more spirit than skill. Under the guidance of a gruff coach played by Annu Kapoor, they set out to compete in a tournament, hoping that a win will finally make the outside world listen to Badlapur. Nishan Nanaiah plays Vijay and Saranya Mohan the girl he loves. The film is an underdog sports drama in the tradition of team-against-the-odds stories, with the village's grievance giving the matches an extra emotional charge.
