Sikandar (2009)

Sikandar is a teenager in Kashmir, an orphan raised by relatives, who dreams of making his school football team. One day on his way home he finds a pistol, and the discovery pulls him, step by step, into the world of militants, army officers and political players who all see a use for a boy like him. His friend Nasreen tries to keep him on the right path. The film looks at the Kashmir conflict through a child's eyes, showing how ordinary young lives are bent by the violence around them. It stars Parzan Dastur, known as a child actor from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Ayesha Kapoor of Black, with R. Madhavan and Sanjay Suri in key adult roles.
