The Sharks, the Chennai street-cricket team from Venkat Prabhu's 2007 hit, have grown up: some are married, some are working, and the matches have stopped. When Raghu falls in love with a girl from Theni and the wedding is fixed, the old friends travel there together, only to find that local cricket is a matter of fierce pride. A rivalry with a hot-headed local team captain, Maruthu, puts the wedding itself at stake, and the gang has to pick up their bats once more. The sequel reunites almost the entire original cast, with Vaibhav joining as the antagonist, and keeps the first film's mix of friendship, banter and cricket. Yuvan Shankar Raja returned for the music.
