Ravi is clever, impatient and sure that a shortcut to money exists. A gamble draws him into the path of a gang planning a huge bank heist, and when he tips off the police and ruins their plans, the gang's mastermind makes it his mission to destroy him. What follows is a cat-and-mouse game in which Ravi has to stay one step ahead using wit as much as muscle, while romancing a young woman along the way. Sahasam is the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit Julayi (2012), and marked a comeback vehicle for Prashanth, produced by his father, the actor-director Thiagarajan. The film was made on a lavish scale, with songs and action shot in foreign locations.
