Rajakali Amman (2000)

Rajakali Amman is a 2000 Tamil devotional film from Rama Narayanan, the prolific director known for goddess films full of miracles and special effects. Ramya Krishnan, who made a series of such roles memorable, plays the goddess who intervenes on behalf of a devout woman (Kausalya) and her family, beset by a sorcerer and human villains. Karan plays the male lead. In the tradition of Amman films, the climaxes feature the goddess in her fierce forms, with dances, songs and visual effects aimed at a family audience.
