A devoted young man owes a debt of gratitude to a powerful landlord's family and becomes the bodyguard of the landlord's daughter when she goes to college. He takes the job far too seriously, shadowing her everywhere and embarrassing her in front of friends. To distract him, she begins calling him from an unknown number, pretending to be a secret admirer, and soon both of them are more involved than either intended. Meanwhile the family's enemies are waiting for a chance to strike. The film is the Telugu remake of Siddique's Malayalam hit Bodyguard (2010), the same story that became Kaavalan in Tamil and Salman Khan's Bodyguard in Hindi. This version gives Venkatesh a role that mixes his family appeal with action. It was a Sankranti release in January 2012.
