Guru is a cheerful athlete in Chennai who discovers he can sometimes see things before they happen. When one of his visions shows him harming Abhinaya, the woman he loves, he is shaken and tries to change the future. Then he crosses paths with Prasad, a man who looks exactly like him but is everything Guru is not, and the lookalike sets out to take over Guru's life and his love. Vijay plays both roles, the hero and the menacing double, in one of the few films where he played a villain. A. R. Rahman composed the music, and the film was a Diwali release in 2007.
