Rahul wants to be a stand-up comedian, but he drifts from job to job and avoids any serious decision, partly because he grew up watching his parents' marriage fall apart. When he meets Shreya at work, they fall for each other, but she wants to live together before deciding on marriage, and Rahul's fear of commitment and his unresolved feelings about his father force him to face himself. Stand Up Rahul is a light romantic drama about modern relationships and the choices young people avoid making. It pairs Raj Tarun, known for Uyyala Jampala and Kumari 21F, with Varsha Bollamma, and features stand-up sequences woven into the story.
