Sarileru Neekevvaru (2020)

Major Ajay Krishna is a decorated army officer. When a fellow soldier is gravely wounded in an operation, Ajay volunteers to travel to Kurnool to deliver the news to the man's mother, Bharathi, a fearless professor. The journey begins as comedy, with a long train ride in which a lovestruck young woman, Samskruthi, and her eccentric family set their sights on him. In Kurnool the mood changes: Bharathi and her family are being hounded for standing up to a corrupt minister, Nagendra, and Ajay decides to stay and fight. Sarileru Neekevvaru ("there is no one like you") marked the screen comeback of Vijayashanti after more than a decade away. Released for Sankranti 2020, it was one of the biggest Telugu hits of the year, and Devi Sri Prasad's songs and Mahesh Babu's dance number Mind Block were hugely popular.
