Maattrraan (2012)

Vimalan and Akhilan were born joined at the chest and share one heart. Vimalan is gentle and principled; Akhilan is brash and fun-loving; and their father Ramachandran is a scientist whose energy drink has made his company a giant. When Vimalan begins to suspect that something in the drink is harmful, events force the twins apart in the most painful way possible. The surviving brother then follows the trail across borders to find out what their father has done. Suriya plays both twins, joined together on screen through extensive visual effects, which was a technical feat for Tamil cinema in 2012. The film mixes family drama with a corporate and international conspiracy thriller.
