Sarkar Raj (2008)

Subhash Nagre, the man Maharashtra calls Sarkar, now rules with his son Shankar at his side. Anita Rajan, the chief executive of a foreign company, comes to them for help in building a giant power plant that would displace villagers but bring electricity to the state. Shankar is persuaded the project is worth fighting for and tours the villages to win support, but local leaders, rivals and a hidden network of enemies see the deal as a chance to bring down the Nagre family once and for all. Sarkar Raj is the sequel to Sarkar (2005) and was followed by Sarkar 3 (2017). It brought Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya together as its three leads, a year after the couple's wedding, and Amar Mohile's chanting Govinda theme returns.
