Lover Boy (1985)

Lover Boy is a mid-1980s romantic drama directed by Shomu Mukherjee, starring Rajiv Kapoor, the youngest son of Raj Kapoor, opposite Meenakshi Sheshadri. Released in the same year as Ram Teri Ganga Maili made Rajiv Kapoor a household name, it casts him in the light-hearted lover-boy image the title promises, with songs, college-style romance and the familiar obstacles of class and family standing between the couple. A modest film of its era, it is mainly of interest to fans of its two leads.
