Vijay grows up in Jaisalmer, where his father, played by Anupam Kher, is his biggest supporter and dreams of seeing his son play for India. With talent and hard work, Vijay rises through the ranks and wins a place in the national side, but fame, money and bad company soon threaten his game and his relationships, including his bond with his childhood friend Nandini, played by Amrita Rao. To get back on track he has to face his own failings. Victory is notable for its long list of real international cricketers who appear as themselves, among them the Australian fast bowler Brett Lee. Music is by Anu Malik. The film did not succeed at the box office.
