Thenavattu (2008)

Thenavattu ("arrogance" or "swagger") is a 2008 Tamil action drama directed by V. V. Kathir. Jiiva, who had made his mark with Raam and Kattradhu Thamizh, takes a more commercial, action-oriented role here, with Poonam Bajwa as the heroine and Saranya Ponvannan, the much-loved screen mother of Tamil cinema, in support. The film follows the masala template of fights, songs and family sentiment. It is less well known than Jiiva's other films of the period.
