Akhil is a carefree young man in Hyderabad who falls for Divya, but she is whisked away to Europe and then into danger. Her family is linked to the Jua, a sacred golden sphere guarded by an African tribe and believed to protect the world from catastrophe, which ruthless men are determined to seize. Akhil follows her across continents into jungles and fights to keep both the girl and the relic safe. Akhil is a fantasy-tinged action adventure that served as the lead debut of Akhil Akkineni, son of Nagarjuna, after his childhood appearance in Sisindri, and the first film of Sayyeshaa, grandniece of Saira Banu. It was directed by mass specialist V. V. Vinayak.
