Randhir Singh, a buttoned-up young man living in America, gets roaring drunk with his friends on New Year's Eve and, through a chain of mix-ups, ends up on a flight to New York. There he lets himself into what he thinks is his own apartment, only to be woken by its furious real occupant, Tikku, who is waiting for her own boyfriend to propose. Over one long, chaotic night the two strangers, both attached to other people, find themselves thrown together. The premise is borrowed from the much-loved Russian comedy The Irony of Fate. Shot around 2010 by the music-video directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the film was held up for years and reached cinemas only in 2015, by which time Kangana Ranaut had become a major star, which makes it an odd curiosity in both leads' filmographies.
