Winner (2003)

A young man unhappy at home slips away to the village where his grandmother lives, keeping his background quiet. There he falls in love with a local girl whose family is at odds with a powerful local group, and his romance draws him into fights and rivalries far bigger than he expected. Winner is a rural Tamil romance-comedy from Sundar C, and today it is above all famous for Vadivelu's role as Kaipulla, the self-styled leader of the "Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam" (the "youth association that never worries"), whose bluster and beatings became one of the most quoted comic performances in Tamil cinema and a fixture of internet memes.
