Description

Thanikattu Raja ("king of the lone forest") is a 1982 Tamil action drama starring Rajinikanth opposite Sridevi, one of the many films the two made together before Sridevi moved to Hindi cinema. Rajinikanth plays a young man who stands up to an oppressive landowner and his men, mixing romance with fights and family sentiment in the commercial style that was making him a top star. Ilaiyaraaja composed the music.
