Neranja Manasu (2004)

Neranja Manasu ("a full heart") is a 2004 Tamil action drama directed by Samuthirakani, early in his career as a filmmaker, with Vijayakanth in the lead. Vijayakanth plays a generous, respected man of his village who becomes the protector of ordinary people against those who exploit them, a role in the tradition of his rural mass films. The story mixes family sentiment, comedy, songs and fights, with the hero's moral authority at its centre.
