Baba Ramdev (1963)

Baba Ramdev tells the story of Ramdev Pir, the fourteenth-century Rajput saint of western Rajasthan who is worshipped as an incarnation of Krishna and honoured by Muslims as a pir, and whose shrine at Ramdevra draws huge pilgrimages. Mahipal, the leading star of Hindi mythological and devotional films of the 1950s and 1960s, plays the lead, with Anita Guha, best known for Jai Santoshi Maa, alongside him. Like most films of its kind it combines the saint's miracles and teaching with devotional songs.
