Joshua is a skilled contract killer who has fallen in love and wants a different life, but the woman he loves walks away when she learns what he does. Then she resurfaces as a lawyer about to take on a powerful drug cartel in court, and suddenly every assassin for hire is after her. Joshua takes it upon himself to keep her alive, and the film becomes a series of chases, ambushes and close-quarters fights through Chennai. Gautham Vasudev Menon, known for stylish romances and police thrillers such as Kaakha Kaakha and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, here leans almost entirely into action, with elaborately choreographed fight sequences. The film had a long journey to its 2024 release and was designed as a launch vehicle for Varun in a lead role.
