Devi (2016)

Krishna works in Mumbai and dreams of a modern, glamorous wife, but family pressure ends with his marriage to Devi, a shy village girl. Soon after they move into a new flat, Devi starts transforming into a confident, ambitious woman named Ruby who lands a leading role opposite a top film star, and Krishna realises his wife has been possessed by the ghost of an aspiring actress who died before she could fulfil her dreams. Krishna strikes a bargain with the spirit, which leads to plenty of comic confusion. Devi is a horror comedy made simultaneously in Tamil, in Telugu as Abhinetri and in Hindi as Tutak Tutak Tutiya, with Prabhu Deva returning as an actor after years of directing. Tamannaah's double-edged performance is the centrepiece.
