Romeo Rajkumar wanders into a lawless town where two drug barons are fighting for control. He signs up with one of them, the dangerous Shivraj, and makes himself useful with his fists, until he falls head over heels for Chanda, a girl who turns out to be the niece of the rival boss and the object of Shivraj's own desires. What follows is a battle of loyalties and a lot of mayhem. Prabhu Deva's southern-style masala, with stylised action, heavy one-liners and big dance numbers, gave Shahid Kapoor a full-blown mass-hero role. Pritam's songs, especially "Gandi Baat" and "Saree Ke Fall Sa", were major hits.
