Twin brothers are separated as babies. Narasimha grows into a tough, short-tempered man who takes on criminals, while Chari is raised in a priestly household and grows up nervous, talkative and devout, working at weddings and rituals. When a dangerous gang becomes involved in both their lives, the brothers' paths cross and the mix-ups begin. Adhurs (slang for 'awesome') gives N. T. Rama Rao Jr. a double role, and his comic turn as the Brahmin Chari, trading barbs with Brahmanandam's character, became one of the most quoted comedy tracks in Telugu cinema of its time. It was a commercial success, and its Hindi dub is known under several names.
