Description

A distinguished retired judge spends his mornings in a jogging park in Mumbai, where he meets a lively young model who is decades younger. Their easy friendship deepens into love, and both have to face the gossip of their circles, the judge's own family and their own doubts about whether such a relationship can last. Victor Banerjee, known for Satyajit Ray's films and A Passage to India, plays the judge with dignity and humour, and Perizaad Zorabian made her film debut as the young woman, with Divya Dutta in support. Joggers' Park was produced by Subhash Ghai's company and was the last film of director Anant Balani, who died shortly after its release in 2003. It was praised for handling an age-gap romance with warmth rather than sensation.
