Vikramadithyan (2014)

Aadithyan's father was a small-time thief, and Vikraman's father was the police officer who caught him. The two boys grow up in the same town as rivals, competing in studies, in friendship with Deepika and finally for a job in the police force, where Aadithyan must overcome everyone's view of him as a thief's son. Lal Jose's drama follows them from childhood to adulthood, and it is as much about ambition, prejudice and second chances as about rivalry. It brought together Dulquer Salmaan and Unni Mukundan, two rising young stars of Malayalam cinema at the time, and was a box-office success.
