Bhadra and his close friend are inseparable, and when the friend takes Bhadra home with him to his village, Bhadra discovers that his friend's family is at the centre of a long, bloody faction feud. When the violence strikes them hard, Bhadra gives his word that he will protect the survivors, including his friend's sister, and that promise sets him against a powerful and murderous rival. Bhadra was the debut film of director Boyapati Srinu, who went on to become the leading maker of Telugu faction-action dramas with Simha and Legend, and it was a big hit for Ravi Teja and producer Dil Raju. Meera Jasmine, a National Award winner from Malayalam cinema, plays the heroine.
