Nani (2004)

Nani is a little boy who is tired of being treated as a child by his mother and wants to be a grown-up at once. A scientist's experiment gives him his wish, and he finds himself as a young man, played by Mahesh Babu, with an eight-year-old's outlook. He has to deal with the adult world, including romance with the character played by Ameesha Patel, while hiding the truth from his mother. Nani is S. J. Suryah's Telugu version of his own Tamil film New, made in the same year, and its songs are by A. R. Rahman. It was an experimental change of image for Mahesh Babu and was not a commercial success, though it has a following among his fans.
