Yaariyan (2014)

Lakshya and his friends spend their days at a college in the hills partying, falling in love and dodging responsibility. When the campus faces being sold off, the only way to save it is to beat a team of Australian students in a series of contests, from music to sport to a final climbing challenge. The youngsters must grow up fast, and friendships and romances are tested along the way. Yaariyan was the directing debut of Divya Khosla Kumar and launched Himansh Kohli and Rakul Preet Singh in Hindi films. It was shot partly in Australia, and its soundtrack was a big hit, with Honey Singh's 'Sunny Sunny', 'ABCD' and 'Allah Waariyan'. A sequel, Yaariyan 2, followed in 2023.
