Tripura (2015)

Tripura has always seen the future in her dreams, a gift that makes her both respected and feared in her village. Hoping to understand it, her family takes her to the city to see a psychiatrist, and she marries a kind young doctor and settles into a new house. Then the dreams turn dark: she starts seeing a woman who seems to be calling for help, and the line between premonition and haunting begins to blur, with the answers hidden in the house itself. Tripura is a horror thriller with comic interludes that relies on suspense and atmosphere more than gore. Swathi Reddy, known for Ashta Chamma and Colours Swathi on television, carries the film in the title role, and it was released in Telugu and Tamil.
