Praise the Lord (2014)

Joy is a well-off, relaxed Syrian Christian planter in rural Kerala who enjoys his comforts, his family and his routine. His life is disrupted when a young couple who have eloped turn up and he agrees to shelter them, and their arrival brings a series of comic misunderstandings and complications. The film is based on a novel by the Malayalam writer Paul Zacharia and plays as a gentle satire on rural middle-class life, with Mammootty in a light, comic role.
