A young engineer wants to take a job abroad, but his widowed father Kuttappa, a proud and set-in-his-ways villager, refuses to leave home or accept a stranger as a carer. The son's solution is a prototype robot from the company he works for, programmed to cook, clean and watch over the old man. Kuttappa hates the gadget at first, then slowly befriends it, while the village reacts with suspicion and comedy, and the machine's rules start to clash with human feelings. Koogle Kuttappa is the Tamil remake of the Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 (2019). Veteran director K. S. Ravikumar plays the father and also produced it, with Tharshan and Losliya in the young lead roles and Yogi Babu adding comedy.
