Dharam and his younger son Gajodhar are still living by their wits, and this time they set their sights on a rich businessman in Britain, scheming to marry Gajodhar into his family. The elder son, the honest, hot-headed Paramveer, is drawn into the plan, and the con soon spins into mistaken identities, romance and a run-in with crooks far more dangerous than the Dhillons. The sequel to the 2011 hit Yamla Pagla Deewana keeps the formula of the original: the three Deols sending up their own screen images, with Sunny's famous fists and Dharmendra's old songs used for laughs. It was directed by Sangeeth Sivan, who had made Kya Kool Hai Hum, and was followed by a third film, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se (2018).
