Akhil Lokhande juggles a dozen odd jobs to pay for his ailing foster father's treatment and to impress the father of his girlfriend Saakshi. Then he learns that he is the real son of a diamond tycoon in Bangkok who has just died. Akhil rushes there to claim his inheritance, but the will leaves everything to the tycoon's beloved dog, Entertainment. Akhil schemes to get rid of the dog with the help of his friend Juggy, while two greedy cousins have similar ideas, and the plans go wrong in increasingly silly ways until Akhil starts to see the dog differently. Entertainment was the directing debut of writer duo Sajid-Farhad, known for the Golmaal and Housefull scripts, and it is built around Akshay Kumar's slapstick timing. The canine star Junior, a golden retriever, is credited prominently, and much of the film was shot in Bangkok.
