Elango is a dreamer who has failed at every business he has tried, and his friend Pandi is a fake astrologer. Their lives change when a scientist from the year 2065 arrives in Chennai with a time machine and the device ends up in their hands. They use it to find lost objects and predict the future for paying customers, but a careless trip into the past alters the present, and a dangerous gangster becomes part of the consequences. Indru Netru Naalai ("Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow") was praised as one of the first successful Tamil science-fiction comedies, made on a modest budget with a clever, tightly plotted script. It was Hiphop Tamizha's second film as composer.
