A family in Delhi is stunned when its matriarch wakes up after spending decades in a coma. Doctors warn that any sudden shock could be fatal, and her world stopped somewhere around the late 1980s, before mobile phones, satellite television and everything else that has changed since. So her children and grandchildren set about recreating the past around her: old furniture, Doordarshan-era television, out-of-date clothes and long-buried family relationships patched up for her sake. Their efforts produce plenty of comedy as well as tenderness, as the pretence forces them to confront their own quarrels. Directed by Gagan Puri, the film stars Mahie Gill and Manu Rishi with veteran actors Rajendra Gupta and Dolly Ahluwalia. Its premise recalls the German film Good Bye, Lenin!, and the title plays on the old state television channel.
