Sonu and Titu have been best friends since childhood, and Sonu has always rescued the soft-hearted Titu from bad romances. When Titu meets Sweety through an arranged match, everyone in his family adores her, but Sonu senses she is playing a game. What follows is a battle of wits between the friend and the fiancee, each trying to outmanoeuvre the other, with Titu stuck in the middle. Luv Ranjan's comedy reunited the core cast of his Pyaar Ka Punchnama films and became a surprise blockbuster of 2018, one of the most profitable Hindi films of the year. Its catchy soundtrack, especially "Bom Diggy Diggy" and "Dil Chori", dominated weddings and parties, and Alok Nath's turn as a cheerfully debauched grandfather gave the veteran a new comic image.
