Around 500 BCE, Bimbisara rules the kingdom of Trigartala with fear and blood, and his ambitions know no limit. An enchanted mirror sends him across the centuries into present-day Hyderabad, where nobody bows to him and his sword means nothing. There he finds himself tangled up with a young girl, a policewoman and a gang hunting for the treasure he left behind in his own time, and slowly the tyrant begins to change. Bimbisara was the debut of director Mallidi Vassishta and one of the surprise hits of 2022, with Kalyan Ram playing a double role and the action moving between lavish period sets and modern city streets. M. M. Keeravani composed the background score. A sequel was announced after the film's success.
