Vishnu is one of Mumbai's finest dance teachers until his business partner Jehangir Khan forces him out of the academy they built together. About to leave the city, Vishnu discovers a group of street dancers in a Mumbai neighbourhood, full of talent but divided by rivalries and held back by poverty and family pressure, and decides to train them for a national competition where Jehangir's polished team is the favourite. Directed by choreographer Remo D'Souza, ABCD was billed as India's first 3D dance film, and its cast was built from dancers who had become famous on TV dance contests, including Dharmesh Yelande, Salman Yusuff Khan, Punit Pathak and Raghav Juyal. Its success led to ABCD 2 (2015) and Street Dancer 3D (2020).
