No Way Out (2022)

No Way Out is a Malayalam survival thriller that rests almost entirely on comedian and host Ramesh Pisharody in an unusually serious lead role. His character, crushed by debts and failure, attempts to take his own life alone at home, but the attempt goes wrong and he is left trapped in a perilous situation with no one to hear him. Over the hours that follow, panic, memory and a growing will to live take over. Basil Joseph appears in a supporting role. The film is a small, single-location experiment that turns a bleak premise into a story about wanting to live.
