In Hyderabad, Balu is a carefree, kind-hearted young man who falls in love and seems to want nothing more than an ordinary life. But a gang from Kolkata has not forgotten who he used to be, and when danger reaches the people around him, the story turns back to his earlier life as Ghani, a feared figure in that city, and to the woman he lost there. The film is a mix of romance, comedy and gangland action that rides on Pawan Kalyan's star appeal. It was directed by A. Karunakaran, who had made the hugely successful Tholi Prema with Pawan Kalyan, and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt, with Mani Sharma's songs. Shriya Saran and Neha Oberoi play the two heroines.
