David Abraham, a police officer, begins telling a story about something that happened to him over seven days. His path crosses that of a group of young friends who seem to be in some kind of trouble, and what follows is a trail of lies and crime in which nothing is quite as it first appears. 7th Day is a Malayalam mystery thriller told largely in flashback, built on its twists and on Prithviraj's restrained central performance. It was the debut of director Syamdhar, and featured an early role for Tovino Thomas, who later became a leading star.
