Aditya is an assistant director on the sets of a huge historical film. When a young woman named Suma falls for him, he tells her the story of his own first love: years earlier in Bhimavaram, he fell head over heels for Kiran and went to absurd lengths to win her, before misunderstandings and her family pulled them apart. Now, telling the story again, he wonders whether it is really over. Majnu is a light romantic comedy that plays to Nani's natural charm and comic timing, and it was the debut of Anu Emmanuel in Telugu. The opening scenes are set on the sets of Baahubali, and S. S. Rajamouli appears briefly as himself. Gopi Sundar composed the songs.
