Kondaveeti Donga ("the thief of Kondaveedu") is a 1990 Telugu action film directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy and starring Chiranjeevi at the height of his superstardom. He plays a young man from a hill community who comes home after his studies to find his people crushed by a cruel landlord and his allies. He takes them on as a Robin Hood-like outlaw who strikes at the exploiters to protect the poor. Vijayashanti and Radha play the heroines, and Amrish Puri, a star villain in Hindi films, is the main antagonist. Ilaiyaraaja composed the music, and the film is remembered as the first Telugu release in 70 mm with six-track stereo sound. A big, colourful mass entertainer from Chiranjeevi's peak years.
