Anjala (2016)

Anjala is the name of a tea shop that has served a small town for three generations, and for its owner, played by Pasupathy, it is less a business than a family legacy. The local youngsters, led by Vimal's carefree character, spend their days there. When plans for a road threaten the shop, the owner refuses to give it up, and the story becomes a fight between tradition and development, as well as a tale of friendship, love and loyalty around the tea stall. Nandita Swetha plays the female lead. The film's unusual central idea, a shop treated almost as a character, and Pasupathy's sincere performance are its main attractions. Gopi Sundar, better known in Malayalam, composed the music.
